Old Business --
.The District Picnic went well. A lot of families came.
.Katy read the notes from the last District Meeting - motion to accept Old Business was passed.
New Business --
.Some of the folks from the District will visit the AA groups in Rutherfordton & Forest City areas to encourage participation from those groups at the District level.
.Jason will update our service manual in regards to District service positions (less focus on sobriety time and more focus on a working knowledge of the steps, traditions & practical experience with the recovery program of AA) - motion passed.
.Terri will make the payment for the District PO Bos by the due date - motion passed.
.The next District event will happen on September 14th in Forest City - motion passed.
.Katy will look into a venue for the event (either a park or the Forest City Clubhouse) and get back to us at the next district meeting with details on the available venues. Ideas for the next District event can be brought to the next District Meeting.
.Getting more "Where & When" pamphlets made has been tabled until the next District Meeting.
